All-Russia Conference on Reinsurance

The 12th All-Russia Reinsurance Conference named was held under the motto "Professionalism and Transparency in Reinsurance" at Moscow's President Hotel on March 27-28, 2008

The conference is a traditional annual event organised under the aegis of the All-Russian Insurance Association (ARIA)

Over the past 12 years, attending it have been specialists form leading insurance, reinsurance, broker and audit firms, members of unions and associations of reinsurers, business circles, bodies of state authority, the academic world and numerous mass media from both Russia and abroad.

The Conference is the only event on the national reinsurance market gathering at the same time and place so many professionals. In actual fact, for many years the Conference has had a status of an international event. This year, it has been attended by 550 participants from 25 states - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Malaysia, Morocco, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States and Uzbekistan.

Taking part in the Conference were 206 companies including 73 foreign ones, the Russian Plekhanov Academy and Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation, and 23 members of the mass media.

The All-Russia Conference on Reinsurance is a major forum for exchanging views, working out the reinsurance community's consolidated positions on key problems, establishing business and human contacts and conducting a dialogue between professionals and the authorities.

At the same time, the conference is a practical event, enabling participants to gain extra knowledge through exchange of information during round-table discussions and master classes organised by experts in various market segments. To Russian companies it offers an excellent opportunity to discuss prospects for cooperation with reinsurers from the former Soviet republics and further afield.
