All-Russia Conference on Reinsurance

The All-Russia Reinsurance Conference is a major annual event not only for the Russian reinsurance market. Attending in March 2010 were more than 350 Russian and foreign reinsurers, guests, members of government agencies and the mass media and market experts from 20 countries: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Germany, France, India, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America and Uzbekistan. In all, they represented 139 companies including 39 foreign ones.

The conference summed up the results of 2009 and enabled participants to formulate their vision of further prospects for the development of reinsurance business in Russian and international markets.

Competitiveness of Russian reinsurance.
Reinsurance efficiency in the markets of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Overview of markets and relations with Russian reinsurance companies.
New insurance and reinsurance products and international tendencies.
Regulation of damages in reinsurance: precedents and legal practice (foreign experience)
Determining the insurance value in crisis

and other topics.

The round table discussion 'Documenting and Taxation of Reinsurance Operations' was organised in the framework of the conference for accountants, financiers and reinsurers.

For the first time ever the conference focused not only on reinsurers' activities, but also on charity which is particularly important during an economic recession. On March 25, 2010 the charity event "To Save a Child's Life" was held for the Russian Aid Fund.
